And a game at Paris winning 17-6

 

Just thought this would be something weird to know

split squad?

I recall playing a TH many moons ago during spring break...no split squad. It was an 11am/2pm DH at home, then on the road for a 7pm tilt under the lights.

 

We did have some minor issues with having enough pitchers; we had to use some position players when the second game ended up 15-14 (a win...lol), but we got thru it. I found it a pretty novel idea.

I'm guessing Harrison's JV squad can handle Robertson County, as the Black Devils traditionally struggle in baseball. The varsity probably played Paris.

I'll bet Jim Swinford (Harrison County's play-by-play man) has a sore throat this morning.

He got lucky because it is lions club auction week so the games weren't on the air.

They had one team, presumably Freshman and JV play game one against Robertson. The varsity team arrived back from Paris for the second game and a few of them played in the second game of the DH.
