Oklahoma State Names Brad Underwood its new Basketball Coach

Featured Replies

Oklahoma State announced this morning that SFA head coach Brad Underwood would be their new Men's basketball coach replacing Travis Ford who stepped down last Friday. Underwood was 89-14 in three season's at Stephen F. Austin tied with Bulter's Brad Stevens for most wins in his first 3 seasons at a school. Also, Underwood's .864 winning percentage ties Adolph Rupp (1931-33) for 4th best all-time for a head coach in thier first 3 season in NCAA Division I basketball. Looks like a good hire for the Cowboys.

Jumping in to play with the Big boys, should be fun.

Any idea where Ford ends up? I could see a number of smaller colleges in Kentucky being interested if he were to go that route

Mason County ?

Brad Underwood is a great coach. I've had a few interactions with members of his staff and they have nothing but great things to say about him. He's a Huggins guy so that will automatically put some people off but it's clear that he's ready for the challenge.

Didn't take long for someone to grab him up
