Jason Jewell new coach at Lee County

Featured Replies

It appears that Jason Jewell is the new Lee County head coach. Jason played for Gene Combs and is familiar with the system. He teaches Industrial Arts at Lee, and also coaches the golf team. He is an Iraqi War veteran, a quality young man, and will be an excellent role model. Good decision by Lee County administration.:thumb:

Glad to hear that Jason got the job. I have known Jason for a long time and we went to college together. He is a class act that will be able to maintain a winning tradition at his old school. Good Luck to Jason this coming season.

Did I hear correctly when I heard Coach Combs took Eversole and Perkins with him to Montgomery County?

I saw Matt Eversole's Mommy a few minutes ago she didn't mention it. I hope not. Matt perkins probably number one pitcher for Lee next year. Matt Eversole may be number one player in region.

Perkins is still here, as for Eversole, I am not positive.

Coach Jewell has some big shoes to fill at Lee County. But coming from Coach Combs' system should help alot. The 56th District will be tough again this year. The two teams that survive will be among the favorites to win the region. Good Luck.
