Yeah your right just showing up and coaching wouldn't be any fun without getting the fields ready to. Last year Coffey wouldn't let me use his lighter for our propane tanks until he got a 6 run lead!!

They raced in the mud last year and Coach B sunk up to his shoulders(which was only about 2 feet) and Big Green Horse didn't even get out of the gate! :laugh:

NewCath is always ready to lend out it's field if needed.......won't be the 1st time.

Two questions...Did one of the PA teams drop out? If so, is there a another team taking their place? And if it rains all day will the fields be playable tomorrow evening?

The only team that dropped out was Dixie & Ryle took the spot. As far as the fields they usually do a nice job.

Thanks for info...on KHSAA scoreboard it looks like the Avonworth, PA team is only playing 1 game on Friday and none on Saturday with Ryle and Notre Dame playing one game each.

Knoch/HHS game was a very good game to watch. Ended 1-0 with the winning scored in the bottom of the last inning.

 

Knoch coach was wound a little tightly. Umpires failed to signal the infield fly on a dropped pop up. Birds coach came out after the inning ended to ask about it and for some reason the Knoch coach thought he needed to inject himself into their conversation. Not sure what he said but he gave some parting shot remark as he was walking away. Birds coach was not happy.

Finals update Knoch 6 -2 over Notre dame in 6th

Championship game final. Knoch 9 Notre Dame 4. Thanks to all the coaches , players & fans for hanging in there with the 50 MPH winds yesterday. Fisrt time in 7 years all the games were played as scheduled.
