29th District Tourney MVP Shelbe Black is held scoreless, but the Lady Raiders were led by seniors Cheyenne Clark and Mila Consley to hold on for the win.

Great game by Cheyenne Clark and gutsy performance by Katie Gonterman, who was hobbling on a bad knee. Her rebounding was key to the win. Gallatin did exactly what they needed to do - shut down Black with aggressive defense - but couldn't quite come up with enough points.

 

Kudos to both teams on an exciting game! I had a hoarse voice when I started my broadcast and barely made it through!!!!! LOL

Congrats to the Lady Raiders on the win. Also congrats to Gallatin County on a well played game. Their plan came close to paying huge dividends.

Good luck to the Lady Raiders---they are well coached and show a lot of class. The rematch with WV should be a dandy.

And to Gallatin on a fine season. To see where that team ended after the start they had was remarkable really. Getting a new coach just before the first game and going through a tough stretch of loses. They could have very easily packed it in early but they did not. Through perseverance, they ended up in regionals once again and put up an enormous fight to almost get a win. Those kids should be proud. Blessings to that group of Seniors.
