It's in the update thread. Point guard John Paul Garmon hit a jumper at the buzzer for the win.

Just a great high school basketball game! The 30th district is a balanced district and Coach Burns is building a program at Spencer. The future of that program is very bright! Congrats to coach Drury and the Bearcats their kids battled and they made plays down the stretch.

Whew, Anderson almost let one slip away last night against a scrappy but overmatched Spencer County. Anderson held pretty much a 9 point lead most of the 2nd half till Spencer made a late charge. Just when you thought Anderson was going to put a little distance between them and the Bears, they would go several empty possessions, throw the ball away on unforced turnovers (several times)...take a bad shot or miss an easy one. Spencer hit some BIG 3's late and took the lead late in the game and it looked like might pull the upset in Lawrenceburg. AC came up big at the free throw line and the game went to OT. Spencer Co then hit a 3 with about 5 seconds left to tie it up, JP Garmon goes coast to coast, pulls up at the free throw line at the buzzer and drains it with no time left right in front of his dad who was standing by the door under the basket. The place erupted and the bench and all the student section rushed the floor and surrounded John Paul. The Spencer Co bench and fans were in total shock and disbelief. Great atmosphere, very exciting game, doesn't get much better than that.

The 30th district isn't as strong as it has been but it makes for some exciting games!
