BlueTip Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Playing off of Clyde's thread of popular singers that do nothing for you... Who is your favorite singer whether he/she is popular or not. My recent favorite is James Mercer (The Shins/Broken Bells).

Getslow Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Personal favorite working right now: Welsh baritone Bryn Terfel. There was a time in my life when I'd have given my right arm to sing like him. He's also got a slightly misaligned jaw, giving him a natural sneer that looks perfect when playing a villain, such as here, as Iago in Verdi's "Otello".
Getslow Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Annie Lennox Just amazing. And absolutely unique; I'd know that voice anywhere.

mcpapa Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Pretty diverse singing styles. I'm nothing if not eclectic.
TAC Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 You folks are flat out crazy. 8 posts and no mention of the best? Fred Mercury could flat out hit notes no others could.
