He knew this would most likely happen and he wasn't really being given a shot at the Giant's HC job.
January 14, 201610 yr Author Coughlin is no longer a candidate for Philly. Withdrew his name because he couldn't bring his staff from New York. Giants promoted QB coach Mike Sullivan to offensive coordinator and retained defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo.
January 14, 201610 yr Author I don't understand keeping the coordinators - especially the DC. He has coached a super bowl winning defense and they had a very good defense the year after that as well. He didn't forget how to coach, he didn't have any talent. The talent he did have mostly got hurt (JPP)
