Johnny one of the best/aggressive defenders that played for St.Pius in past 10 years. Right up there with Andrew Schult.

 

Probably leads school history for "fouls per minute" though. Good kid! Uncle Mike (Bo's dad) had some major hops in his day.

 

Oh he got away with some fouls last night. Very aggressive.

Both of these teams are great frosh teams. Will be fun watching them grow.

If there is such a thing as a nice loss this game may be for the HC freshmen. Showing that they can compete with arguably the best team in NKY speaks well of their development. In the 4th to play against CovCath as they dial up the defense/contact changes the game if the officials don't get involved and if they do CovCath is deap.

Coaches never want to admit a "nice loss" .... but I thought HC could play with CCH, and they did. I am just surprised no one from Walton or Campbell County has pounced yet on the "arguably the best team" comment. All are very nice squads ... I expect the term "arguably" to get a literal workout the next few years ....

Holy Cross frosh show that you can be a really good team without a lot of players. Two really, really good players plus a very nice "big" and then you have a couple of role players. In comparison, CCH has a lot of kids that get on the floor - more overall talent than HC.

 

Yet HC was winning most of the game. That's the cool thing about basketball.
