Danville vs Hazard? 09/22/06

Danville was to have this date off! Does anyone know this is a error or if the game has been added to the schedule?:confused:

Undoubtedly a game added on Danville's previous open date to make up for the game they lost when Harrodsburg consolidated with Mercer Co.

 

There were 10 schools scrambling for games when this happened. REALLY tough to get a game at that time (April or May) when schedules are set and you only have TWO dates to work with (your Open date and the date you had the dropped game).

 

I'd be curious as to what the other teams on Harrodsburg ended up getting for games? When there are so few schools with openings and so many needing a game, I saw the possibility of some VERY bad match-ups (like what happened when Pendleton had to pick up Hopkinsville).

Looking at Hazard's schedule, the Bulldogs surely had a lot of shuffling for this to be the second year of a two-year contract cycle. What was going on there?
