24 and 7 for Cole.

AJ went for about 16 and 8.

Hepp played outstanding D and passed really well plus had 8 boards.

CJ Fredrick ended up with 8. 5 in two trips. His pull up from 15 is really good.

Good to see Flood hit 2 3s.

Solid effort. Central makes you WORK offensively and were tough to guard.

1/10 from 3 in the first half.

7/15 from 3 in the second half.

Coach Bibby gets them to get after it.

Good win for CCH.

Here's my take on this one.......

CovCath played very disciplined ball, passed until they found the right guy to take the shot or drive to the bucket, never once did they rush a shot. They did a great job of hitting the glass at both ends of the floor.

Central on the otherhand, while very quick, they had no offensive game plan whatsoever, in the 1st half everything revolved beyond the arc......and when they did attempt to go inside it was via a chaotic drive in traffic or errant pass. Some of this can be attributed to the CovCath "D", but they were not patient enough to really work it inside. The 3pt. shots they did attempt were just crazy. They attempted 10 3's in the 1st half and made 1.

In the 2nd half they amped up the pressure on CovCath and made a mini run to start the 3rd, whatever the coach said at the break seemed to work.....they looked like a different team for the first 4:00. They would hit 7/15 triples in the 2nd half to stay close, but a couple of quick shots without numbers, costly turnovers, and CovCath's ability to control the boards did them in.

I know in the update thread I said they were undisciplined and maybe that's unfair, but maybe a better way to phrase their style (at least tonight) would be, Helter Skelter.

CVH started the game off a little rusty, but got cookin' as the game went on.

I was very impressed with the way the Blue Colonels pass the ball and attack the glass.

CovCath must played at least every kid on the bench including the water boy, or so it seemed. :lol2:

The Central kids hustled their butts off. :thumb:

Tip of the cap to the Lou. Central head coach, Doug Bibby, he did not sit down one second of this game and coached non-stop. You would have thought he was in the game with how much sweat was showing through his shirt. Great effort coach. :ylsuper:
