December 2, 201510 yr 1. Clemson 2. Alabama 3. Oklahoma 4. Iowa 5. Michigan State 6. Ohio State 7. Stanford 8. Notre Dame 9. Florida State 10. North Carolina
December 2, 201510 yr Author I hate to say I told you so about North Carolina, but... the committee doesn't like them, and they really, really like Notre Dame.
December 2, 201510 yr Stanford will be first in if Carolina or Alabama lose. That's garbage, but I'm sure Ms. Rice pulling some strings. They lost to Northwestern. I can't let that go.
December 2, 201510 yr Author Best case scenario for Ohio State and everyone who is not an Alabama fan or you like the 4 team playoff: Florida beats Bama and USC beats Stanford. Top 4: Clemson, Oklahoma, Mich. St./Iowa, Ohio State. The SEC doesn't get a team in the playoff, the Pac-12 doesn't get a team and next thing you know all the powers that be *cough* *cough* ESPN, are complaining about it being 4 teams and how any true playoff has the SEC in it and next year we'll have 8 teams.

December 2, 201510 yr Using the new top 25 here are the numbers of top 25 wins by each team: Oklahoma 4 Alabama 2 (3 if they beat Florida) Clemson 2 (3 if they beat UNC) Michigan State 2 (3 if they beat Iowa) Stanford 2 (3 if they beat USC) Notre Dame 1 Ohio State 1 Iowa 1 (2 if they beat MSU) FSU 1 UNC 0 (1 if they beat Clemson)
December 2, 201510 yr 1. Clemson 2. Alabama 3. Oklahoma 4. Iowa 5. Michigan State 6. Ohio State 7. Stanford 8. Notre Dame 9. Florida State 10. North Carolina I think we will see the top 3 and MSU.
December 2, 201510 yr Author I think we will see the top 3 and MSU. But it's not any fun debating that. Haha
December 2, 201510 yr What would be interesting is to see who goes if Clemson loses if we assume UNC can't jump from 10. Does Clemson stay in? Would only have 1 loss.
December 2, 201510 yr Northwestern is a top 20 team. Have you watched them play? They're not very good. And Stanford has 2 losses. That still matters to me.
December 2, 201510 yr Author What would be interesting is to see who goes if Clemson loses if we assume UNC can't jump from 10. Does Clemson stay in? Would only have 1 loss. That's interesting I hadn't thought about that, yet. Let's say Clemson loses on a last second field goal I.e the Notre Dame Stanford game. If Clemson looks good and doesn't have a bunch of turnovers, I could see them just dropping to 4. But I don't think that would happen. If Clemson plays well, they'll win. I don't particularly think they'll play well, because they haven't played well in about a month.
December 2, 201510 yr I believe Clemson, Bama and MI ST all will win so MI ST moves up to 4 and we're set. My prediction is that OK beats Bama and MI ST beats Clemson, then OK wins to take the NC. Or not.
December 3, 201510 yr When people scream for Iowa to be in the playoffs remember this. Their opponents combined record is 66 and 77. We want to reward that?
December 3, 201510 yr Author When people scream for Iowa to be in the playoffs remember this. Their opponents combined record is 66 and 77. We want to reward that? I don't think anyone is saying they should be in no matter what. If they beat MSU they certainly deserve to be in. I don't think that is going to happen, but if it does, how could you say they shouldn't be in? Who would you put in over them? Ohio State and Stanford are both probably better teams, but OSU lost and Stanford has 2 losses and 1 to a team Iowa beat. I don't see what the problem is. If ND won, I could see the argument of putting them in over Iowa, although I would personally disagree with it. But there is no one behind Iowa (besides MSU) that deserves to be in more than them.
