C1 championship is looking like a good game!

I've been cleaning all day and got so much in the groove that I forgot to even turn it on to listen to while I cleaned. I'm looking forward to watching the other two games this afternoon/evening. The Class A title game is between two Omaha powers in Millard North (10-2) and Millard West (12-0). These schools are just 5.9 miles away from each other and are about 30-35 minutes away from Memorial Field at University of Nebraska...needless to pack it should be a very good crowd there for the game. Millard West defeated Millard North 42-7 back on Sept. 4 and only two of their games decided by 10 or fewer points.

@HSfootballfan18, if you're not watching the NSAA Class A State Final game you should tune in. There is an upset brewing as Millard North leads Millard West 14-0 at the half. Millard West's first and last play of the half were turnovers. And I was right...there's a pretty daggum good crowd there at Memorial Field.

Upset did occur but not without some late game drama. Millard North led 21-0 at the end of the third quarter and Millard West stormed back with two fourth quarter touchdowns to cut it to 21-14. Then Millard West got the ball back with just 0:30 seconds to go on their own 19. The final drive went like this:

 

1st & 10 at own 19 - pass complete for 42 yards

1st & 10 at MN39 - pass incomplete

2nd & 10 at MN39 - pass incomplete (pass interference penalty)

1st & 10 at MN24 - pass incomplete

2nd & 10 at MN24 - pass incomplete

1st & 10 at MN24 - pass complete for 21 yards FUMBLE as time expires with Millard North recovering the ball

 

@HSfootballfan18, it was definitely an instant classic with the way it finished. Such a heartbreaking way to lose a game especially in the state finals to your cross-town, bitter rivals.
