It appears that they have found a bomb inside an ambulance that was parked inside the stadium. Scary stuff.

This is very disturbing. The stadium is at a very lively recreation area bordered by restaurants and sits at the side of the Machsee which is the man-made lake dug by WWII POW's. There are always lots of people around. I visit Hannover frequently for business, and in fact, 6 people from my organization are there this week for training, and easily could have been at this area in the evening. I am glad they found this before it detonated!!!

 

I will add, on a different note, it is not unusual to find bombs in Hannover. Almost every year when doing excavating, unexploded WWII ordinance is discovered.
