I know people give Johnny Football a hard time, and most of it is well-deserved. However, he has had a really good game today, that early fumble notwithstanding. That first play is kind of indicative of Cleveland's day all around — they can't keep from shooting themselves in the foot.

Cleveland should have scrapped that whole McCown idea weeks ago. They have a future with Johnny Football if the team can clean up mistakes.

As a Bengal fan, I hope Johnny Football is the Browns starting QB the next 15 years...

You clearly didn't watch today's game. Guy threw for 375.

You are right. I didn't but I have seen enough of him to believe his act is not made for the NFL. We will see...

If he strings a few games like today together, and the Brown Spots figure out how to avoid shooting themselves in the foot, the team can be dangerous. There's talent there. Browns had nearly 200 yards of penalties and 3 turnovers. Clean that up and look out.

Although the Bengals are presently 8-0 halfway through the season, I never feel safe with the Steelers always being tough and nipping at their heels.

If the Bengals were to lose to the Texans Monday night, they'd only be 2 1/2 games ahead of the Steelers with 7 games remaining along with one more head to head with them at home. The Steelers have 6 games remaining with a bye next week.

I feel more secure this year than ever before as it is looking promising, but with so much of the season still left It wouldn't at all surprise me if they keep it interesting and make it nail bitingly too close for comfort.

The Bengals will have a lot to say about that if hopefully they just keep on winning. You can almost never count the Steelers out as they're always in the thick of things, and I say they no doubt will at least make the playoffs as a wild card team.

Hopefully the Bengals can stay the course and that we don't see some dismal 2nd half of the season collapse, because with the Steelers on the rise with Big Ben back in action they're no way out of it.

Just look at the Broncos and the Packers. They'll likely make the playoffs (maybe), but are showing signs of going backwards at the wrong time. I mean how could the Packers lose to the Lions, the worst team in the league? The Vikings are now riding high so what at once seemed to be for certain for Green Bay is now in question. I'm a big fan of Manning, but it's all too obvious that he no longer is as dependable as he has proven to be his whole career, and the Broncos might be beginning their possible decline...we'll have to see.

No matter what it'll always be interesting, but I'd just like it to be interesting for a change with tons of breathing room. As for now, it feels great to finally be behind a team that's looking like one of the tops, and I'm not prepared to see it turn into just being a first half of the season tease.
