Fred Thompson Has Died

Probably not the best thread to criticize his political speeches . Bad enough you insult all Republicans in this thread then move on to slight a man who just died . Bad choice SF.

Did you really expect any different from SF?

Get over it. I complimented the man. Seemed like a nice, reasonable man. I mentioned his bad speech only to say that it now makes sense. He probably wasn't well at all. A good portion of the faculty was disappointed in his address at the time. I think we were expecting much more from a high profile ex-senator and actor. Like I said, now it seems obvious that he probably was not high energy because of his poor health.

I thought just the opposite.

You thought wrong. You clearly don't remember his last(very short) run for the presidency. Now when I saw him he was definitely more catatonic than charismatic. We seriously thought he had fallen asleep once midway through his address. Again, very sorry to hear of his passing.
