Smart hit a big three from the corner with less than a minute left in regulation. Feilds for MC also hit big shots in the duel to the end, his legs were gone at the end of the battle.

LC was without starter Taylor Stewart.

Where was Stewart?

Stripes

Not sure a double overtime win by 4 gives me the upper hand but I'll take it,

My boys Smart had 17, Novosel had 21 would have liked to have been there,

were you?

Taylor Stewart was at Nike camp this week

Yes. Saw the games. I watched both Lex Cath games against South Oldham and against Madison Central. Saw Novosell put up solid numbers in both games. Even a thunderous dunk on a helpless South Oldham defender in the semi's. We were both right! But you got the winner.

Novosel through one down in the game?

I think that might be a first

the boys a warrior

which players stood out to you?

Botkins seemed to struggle throughout the game when he was on the court(inexperience). Of course Novosell stood out. Smart played very well. Let me say this about the South Oldham team. The PG Shawn (sp) Stiles is a dang good player. For 5'9" or so, this kid just kept going and had better legs in the last minute of play than he did the first minute. He was dribble drive specialist, but he got the job done. Novosell has a quick spin move. I think he needs to continue to develop his perimeter game to further expand his game. He did work the glass in both games. Obviously, he was the difference. And yes, he had a throw-down.

So did Novosel throw one down?

He has a the quickest spin move of any post player I have seen except for Bill Walker, with the biggest difference Nathan finishes off the glass and Bill

brings down the house!

Yes, Novosell brought down the house today. Did it in transition and with a defender from South mercilessly trying to impede him. Novosell does have a nice spin-move. He needs to learn the perimeter better to advance his game for the next level.

This season's Lex Cath team has a huge upside and will be better than last year's team. LC has had three head coaches in the last three years but the constant with their program has been the leadership of Mike Mendenhall. Make no mistake about it, he is the architect of the team they currently have in place.

I agree with you on this one.

PRP was missing three starters for the S. Oldham game and had a prior morning game with 7 players present... Good "summer ball" victory but might want to keep it in perspective. Hopefully see you again in L.I.T. or K.O.B.

Who won the point guard match-up between Stiles and Decker?? Stiles is quick. Is he a senior? Does one of the big guys play for Derek Smith? I didn't get his #no. He was solid.

I need to give props though... best team from any of the Oldham county schools I've seen in a couple years.

PRPpride, Just a note to let you know PRP is not in KOB this year. They are going to South Laurels tournament. Who where the three starters missing? I know Murray is out due to torn ACL, and Cox played in Baseball state. The panthers will still be the team to beat in the 6th due to 3 straight region wins.

Who all is in the KOB this year?

Actually still needs two teams. KOB is having a hard time getting out of state teams due to dates. Interest and good teams wanted to come but couldnt get out of school to come. Fairdale, Ballard, Male, Desales, Hancock Co., Meade Co., Warren Central, Etown, Central,Franklin Co., Doss, Shelby Co., Central Hardin, Rose Hill.
