Brossart gets a reminder of their past as they face a 1 win Pendleton County team in their season finale. Just one year ago Brossart posted a one win season. This year they enter their final game with only one loss. Is there anything Pendleton County can do to get an upset win in this one? Will Brossart get the lopsided win?

I say this with all seriousness.

 

I think the Mustangs will win and improve to 9-1 going into the post-season. However, these two teams have played extremely competitive games at the Sharp Middle School since the inception of the series. Last year our one win Mustangs took the Wildcats to the wire, losing only by a single point 28-27. In 2013 it was the Mustangs who prevailed over the favored Cats 22-14, in 2012 Pendleton squeezed past the Mustangs 35-28. You get the picture, this has been quite a contentious affair between these two teams.

 

If we win big, well - we are supposed to. That would give us continued momentum going into the post-season. However, I will approach this one with a bit more trepidation than a normal 8-1 team playing another 1-8 team.

Already had this conversation with @Mustang as we prepare for our respective radio broadcasts of this game. As i told him, even though those games were close, this year's Brossart team isn't like ones in the past. In the last 3 PC was either the better team, or it was evenly matched. I expect a Brossart blowout, but you never know. It's senior night for PC, so that added fire to win is there.
