Was told Brossart has several top players out with injuries.

Two starters...one offensive and one defensive...shouldn't have mattered...you have to play with intensity and Brossart had 55 mins of "didn't seem to want to be there" effort....not from every player though. But as a team, this was a bad effort and can't take anything away from Villa.

A huge win for coach Rice and his girls.

Yes, just a few days ago.

This group of Villa seniors have had a nice run and some modest success:

- 4 straight conference championships - no losses to D3 teams in 4 years

- On pace to record their 4th double digit winning season with respectable schedules

- Beat Conner three years ago, beat Dixie and Cooper then tied Conner and Boone Co. two years ago, Beat a very good NCC team last year, beat Brossart this year and a couple wins vs. ranked teams downstate over the four years

- Many of the seniors have also overcame some major injuries over their career but played through it - they usually compete

 

With Libby and Nemo finally graduating after the last 3 years, I hope they can put together one of these good games in Districts and make Regions

 

The freshman class has the same type talent and numbers to make a similar run the next 3 years.

I consider the soccer forum to be quality entertainment. Not as good as a 6 pack of beer and a bug zapper, but pretty close.
