A Walk in the Woods

I'm going to see it this evening. I read the book(twice actually) & loved it. Reviews have been mixed but I love Robert Redford so off to the movie I go.

I really enjoyed the book. The previews for the movie haven't done much for me. Also, THERE ARE NO GRIZZLY BEARS on the AT. I'll probably check it out when it hits On-Demand.

Read this book a couple times and several of his others...good books made into movies usually seem to disappoint me. Krakauer's : Into the Wild is a prime recent example

Saw an article recently where Redford had wanted Paul Newman to do this with him but Newman thought it was too much physical exertion for him. Too bad they couldn't have made one more film together before Newman died.

Really liked the book, enjoyed the movie also. Would definitely recommend. I've read some reviews, but think that some critics (websites) of the movie may not have been too familiar with the book.

I went in with some reservation on how it would translate to film, but had several laughs and thought it was entertaining throughout. Whether someone has read the book or not, it's still a pretty good movie.
