Do you think it's possible to have technology withdrawals?

Featured Replies

I ask this because I broke my iPhone on Friday and while I'm waiting for an insurance phone I've been using this bad boy. It is serious misery. It sends crappy texts and I can make phone calls with it. That's about it. I've found myself carrying my laptop around everywhere.

Absolutely possible, if you get use to high quality technology then have to use something not as good. I think of it like this-you don't miss technology you never had but take technology from you that you like or replace it with technology not as good, you will definitely miss it.

Not only is it possible, it's absolutely real IMO. I can't stand to be without technology for any amount of time.

When we were at football camp my senior year at Morehead State our phones were taken from us. I could definitely see some withdrawals on the team especially because we honestly didn't have much we could do to bond with but freeze the freshman out of the dorms.

But I had a heads up on the cell phone thing and I brought a dummy cell phone to give to coach and kept mine in the room.

I've always said they are like crack. The cell phone companies should give every kid a phone and unlimited usage for one free year. They could than charge them whatever they wanted.

Thought I would, but I'm actually pretty okay without it.

I pretty much stopped using Twitter cold-turkey about 2 weeks ago. I simply deleted it off my phone and haven't even been tempted to look since. Was spending way too much time with it. Really the only thing I use my phone for is text messages and the unfortunate event that I have to talk on it. Have no games and no apps (other than Untappd and Instagram).
