First off I truly love this website and I feel this is the most unbiased forum .I play all my football for Owen county peewee to high school I love the place but there is a cancer eating that place I love and I have had it . Adam Fowler is the head coach a man that loves the game and has lead Owen county to there first winning season since 1991 I believe. A man by the name of pat Patterson has with the help of his brother Terry who is a big member of the school board has left Adam basically powerless.for the past two seasons the qb for owen county has been pat grandkids not due to talent but though pressure from the Patterson and it sad to See such a good bunch of kids .stuggle just for one family to stay in the lime light.and such a great coach to be on the hot seat .with our middle school not having a football team because parents not liking the new coach it a shame to watch the school that I love crash and burn.thank you for reading this and letting me vent sorry about grammar New phone still working the kinks out

Owen Co is a great atmosphere for Friday Night Football. I have only been to about 10 OC games the past 25 years and each time the fans have been great and everyone gets into the game, regardless of score. Its a shame if this type of thing is happening because it will certainly alienate some quality athletes. Play the kids that are best for the team.

They should take a look at what is happening in Carrol when this stuff happens. I thought Coach Jump was the MS HC? He always had pretty good teams with what they had.

From what I have heard coach jump has step down.and a man name Greg Webster has taken the job .the moms of the players said they don't want their children playing for him.

1, you are basing your truths on hearsay. 2 Things in Owen County haven't changed in 30 years, why do you expect them to now?

The pattersons I seen with my own eyes .and the middle school deal I heard From a very respected person that I would trust 100% he is very involved with the Owen county sports program

Unfortunately this stuff goes on way too much, hopefully Owen Co can get some good people in position to make some changes. Just try to stay positive no matter how bad you feel the situation has become. Negativity will always trickle down to the kids and then you will have a true mess. One can only have so many grandkids, right? Ha! Don't know anyone in Owen County but sure wish you the best.

Nothing stated about the Owen County situation is correct other than Coach Fowler loves the game and Coach Jump always had good teams. I have visited practices and spoken with all the coaches multiple times. The school board has had no influence on who plays. The coaches agree who the players should be and the best player for the situation is the one who plays. The current QB put in the work this summer and he won the job, according to the coaches. He's only a sophomore so he's still learning. Now for the middle team, Coach Jump is still the head coach of the team. They only had 11 players come out this year and the administration cancelled their season. Some of the returning players just didn't want to play this year. Mr. Webster is only an assistant.
