10th Region Favorite?

Featured Replies

When is the draw? Also when and where is this region being played?

The draw is supposed to be Saturday morning and the Tournament is on the hump in Campbell County. I hope they have some good umpires this year for a change, the hump is home to some of the worst calls I have ever seen made on a baseball field.

Sorry to disagree with you Romeo, but I don't see PC or Bracken beating any of the district winners. I just don't think they hit well enough and that's not to take anything away from either team. It just a fact.

I agree to a point, but remember what PC almost did to the Breds last year. Baseball is the best game in the world, because on a given day any team can beat any other team, and every one has a shot. Stranger things have happened, even though the chances of an upset by the Polar Bears or Cats are pretty slim, I have to admit.

But last years team had more leadership I believe and alot better pitching. Don't get me wrong Romeo, I'd love to see the Cats spring the upset, I just don't see it happening this year if it didn't happen last year.

You may be right, but I do think that the future for this program is bright, with only two starters not returning, and only one starting pitcher gone. There was a couple of games this year where the Cats didn't have an upperclassmen starting in the entire infield. This experience should help them for future years.

The "hump" as you call it, has nothing to do with what umpires are going to be calling the games. They are assigned to do the games, not picked by the Coaches.

I agree Romeo, if all the players stay for all four years the Cats could have a good team in a couple more years. Unfortunately we can't be certain they will as this years team is an example of that.

Hilltopper Soda is right on this one but Mac can intimidate the umps anywhere he plays but maybe not as well as the hilltop.

Mac intimidate umpires? I don't think so. He may help keep them on their toes, but never intimidate them. I have a lot of memories from the "Hump" many are very good and some are......., well, not so good.
