Currently, LexCath leads the prediction poll 21-10 over Johnson Central, leading up to the game they play Friday. With the consensus seeming to be that Johnson Central is the underdog, is there a result other than a win that would lead you to support Johnson Central holding off South Warren for the top spot? And if they don't hold the top rank, is there anything outside of an unexpected South Warren loss that Johnson Central can do to regain it? Ashland is the only opponent of significance after this week for Johnson Central - can they regain their stature if they lose it?

Depends on the loss and how it pans out.

 

If LexCath wins by a good margin or beats them straight up I think they have to drop with how South Warren has looked.

 

If it is a game that JC statistically dominates in every place but the scoreboard, or a controversial "Home cooking" type of call is the difference that's a different story.

 

The fact of the matter is LexCath may very well be the #1 team if they were in 4A so you have to judge as such.

Does JC not play Belfry this year? I would certainly consider them an opponent of significance.

Outside of a South Warren loss, the answer is no. South Warren has looked great thus far and would deserve to get and keep the number 1 ranking.
