Desales fans love to throw out the fact that they dress 90 kids and don't have anyone going both ways, when talking about other 2a schoos, but, then try and play the "We're just a little ole 2a school playing a big ole 6a school" and I hope we can compete.. There shouldn't be a problem competing against any size school when you dress more than most 6a schools do, should there?

Johnson and company will dismantle any drive left in Ballard. Will be a little closer than Desales' last two blowouts, but they will do it convincingly none the less.

Yes there is difference...6A schools have 3 times as many boys to pick from compare to 2A, just the 'law of averages'....DeSales can dress 90 if you count freshmen.I don't think a single frosh got on the field against Butler, it's closer to 60.To me it seems to be a numbers game, the more you got, the more depth, size, speed and options you have...2A schools like Mayfield, CAL Murray, OC, New Cath. etc. who compete/succeed vs. the Big Schools I think they tend to get large segments of their male population to come out join the football teams compare to some other programs. Of course having the right coaching staff with a great system, large fan support all contribute to success. A good example, is a school like Mayfield, they have been doing this for decades. So I think the DeSales fans have a certain respect for the 'big schools like Ballard, Trinity, St.X, Male etc they have so much more to pick from....

Ignorant comment. There are 300 boys in the school compared to 6A schools with hundreds of boys to choose from.

Well U of K Football fan, don't lump all us DeSales fans together. So to answer your question it was not a problem at all 29-6 DeSales over Ballard. I don' make excuses or shoot off at the mouth like others. So let's talk! Who is your team?
