Dallas - What's Good?

Featured Replies

Next Friday we'll be heading down to Louisiana to visit some friends, and while down there be making the 4-5 hour drive with them to visit another group of friends who just got transferred down to Dallas from NYC. Never been to Dallas before (outside of the airport). We'll be there Saturday and Sunday and returning to Louisiana on Monday.

What's are can't miss things to do, see, or eat while there?

Fort Worth Stockyards might be fun on the weekends? Also a cool area in Uptown Dallas where they covered the expressway and put a park and resturants on top.

Have a drink at the bar in hotel Za Za. Hot new trendy place. Also Fat Rabbit is a great place for a nightcap.

I'm in Dallas once or twice a year. I usually try and get lunch at Hard Eight bbq.

There is also a great area at the end of the "bridge that goes nowhere". They built a really cool bridge from Downtown to a not so desirable part of town. But now they have revamped the other side of the bridge into a restaurant, club type mall. Neat place with plenty of options.

"Dallas" can mean a lot of things in that area. Do you know what part of town you will be?

I do not. :lol2: I guess that would probably be helpful.

I always go downtown by the old courthouse and visit the book depository.

I am not a Cowboys fan but I loved visiting Cowboys stadium.
