UKMustangFan
Still can't believe we traded Ben Lively for him last year... Not agreeing or disagreeing with you there, and I know he's just 23, but Lively has taken a major step back this season IMO. In AA his ERA is over 4, he's got an OBA of almost .065 higher than last season at AA, his WHIP is up considerably, and his K/IP are way down. His BB/9 and K/BB ratios have improved though. nkufan23
The Reds didn't need Lively. No harm in giving him up for a potential upgrade in LF with Byrd. Moscot happened to be the odd man out, I'd rather it Ben Lively than say Jon Moscot. While Johnson's control is bad and his mechanics are rough he still has an arm that's always Ben very Lively and could potentially be a bullpen arm down the road if he can iron some things out. NKY Bandit
When they signed Byrd the comments were that he'd provide professional at bats and be a leader in the clubhouse. The radio guys compared his leadership to that of Scott Rolen.
