Last year began and ended poorly for Collins, but the 2013 4A State Champions look to kick the year off right in the historical Recreation Bowl at Montgomery County. Collins is just 2-3 in season openers in the program's history; can they even it up or will the homestanding Montgomery County Indians win the day?

I will be there and I am hoping to see a good game and a outstanding performance by the home teams QB.

I was worried about how Collins would stack up against Lafayette Jr. College. Collins held their own and game should have been closer with a couple of no called TD's. Collins D will keep them in the game and if the passing game clicks, Collins will win this one easily. Collins has a lot of depth up front on the lines that can tire some early season foes. I like Collins this week but of course I like them every week.
