It's always a huge battle between these two clubs when they meet. Prestonsburg is always tough, year in and year out. However, you could be right. This just may be the year the Panthers could be playing in BG. This year's team is expected to be as good, or even better than last season's team. Only time will tell as the season progresses, and there are huge expectations for this season's team.

1st win in 5 yrs for Pburg is correct but lets clarify that they didn't play in '11 or '12:up:, Pburg won 35-13 in '10 but then the series was dropped for a couple yrs. til '13 when Pikeville won 37-20 and then last yrs. win so, the Panthers are on a two game streak. Prior to that Pburg's win in '10 capped a 4 gm winning streak from '07 - '10.Pikeville won 3 in a row '04-'06.

It's a great rivalry/series, each team gets a quality opponent without having to travel very far. Since 2000 they've played 11 times and Pikeville has a 6-5 advantage. Looking forward to this one come Friday night
