Hardin County Preps
Central Hardin and Bardstown will hold a scrimmage on Thursday, August 13th,7:00PM at Central Hardin high school John Hardin high school will hold a scrimmage against Daviess County Friday August 14th , 7:00 PM at John Hardin high school. This will be the first real look at both teams, 2015 edition. Both teams have high aspirations but must answer some questions. John Hardin must eliminate the turnovers and penalties that have haunted them in the past. There was a point in the Graves County game last year where John could have been ahead by 17 points in the first half if not for turnovers and penalties. QB, Shay Stone must eliminate his penchant for throwing picks. If John can eliminate these mistakes, the ceiling is the limit for them with a potential D1 kicker, their special teams needs to capitalize on this asset. John brings back talent on both sides of the ball and has speed to burn. Johns tendancy to start slow and end as a much improved team will cause trouble for any 4A team. Central Hardin has been impressive in the 2 7on 7 tournaments that they have participated in, now they have a chance to prove just how good they are in a game setting on Thursday night. The eye ball test says they are big, fast, deep and still have talent at the skill positions. Reece Iler looked good at QB during the passing 7on7 tournament and has some big targets at tight end as well as a 6'1" 215 fullback in Xavier Arnette that is a load to bring down. Looking forward to seeing these teams, and what they look like in a game situation
hoss403
CH will dominate Bardstown like they did last year. I will be curious to see how John Hardin does against Davies County.
Purple88
HCP, I would change scrimmage partners if I could, as I don't think Bardstown will help you like you need in a scrimmage. I agree with hoss in that Daviess County will be pretty decent this year (especially on offense) and should be important for JH to get some of the kinks out prior to the SW game. Hardin County Preps
Yeah, not a good scrimmage matchup for Central Hardin. The added benefit is getting a look at a suitable backup at QB and giving some reps to the running backs. Central Hardin Varsity will be on the main field and Freshman will be on the practice field for the scrimmage. Daviess County was at the 7on7 at Central and really didnt stand out. I think John will dominate this scrimmage also.
Purple88
Likely right on the dominate part, which is for JH isn't that bad because you want your guys pumped up for SWarren. I like the Frosh on the practice field set up. The BG Manual Scrimmage just lets the FROSH play at half time.
Hardin County Preps
I like the setup too for Central Hardin, gives all grade levels experience in a full game. I am curious to see the 2015 version of John in a game against opponent. I have followed John since 2006 and have a pretty good pulse on this team based on the eyeball test.
