Taking a real shot in the dark here...

 

Anybody know who may have played on this team? Lost to Male 6-1 in the final.

 

Is there a runner-up trophy somewhere at school?

 

Calling all my BC faithful on this one.

I didn't even know they were the state runner-up that year.

 

My guess is some of the guys on the baseball team also played basketball. I do know that the 1944 basketball team had an undefeated regular season.

Im with RP on this one didnt know they was state runner up eithier. We are having a spagetti dinner Sunday afternoon at the High School for the vollyball team i will have to take a good look in the trophy cases and see what i can find out.

 

Dawgs you and RP outta come on out and get ya plate Sunday afternoon $7 a person and its for a good cause:thumb: All proceeds go to our new duel net system we installed back in the summer..

I stumbled on it doing some research for basketball. State quarters in basketball, then a state runner-up in baseball...not a bad 1944 for the Polar Bears

I have looked before for this trophy, only to find the 1944 Region Trophy that seemed to appear out of nowhere. I may have found it but there is no plaque.
