Hip-Hop concert at Ky. Speedway?

Got off I-71 last night to visit my folks in Warsaw and saw about 25-30K people in the new parking lot on the north side of Ky 35, and a stage set up with what was most definitely rappers.

 

What event was this? I knew nothing about it.

Jim, the only thing I know about last night there was a Night Nation 5k Run. Don't know any details.

It was the Night Nation Run. A 5k with DJs throughout the course. The vast majority of people there were not running, but walking as they had beer stands all along the course as well. It was pretty cool. The parking lot was where it begin and ended and the main stage.

 

Was probably closer to 5k-10k people. The money made from it is donated as part of the Stand Up to Cancer initiative...

The DJs were from all over the country. The one at the starting line was from San Diego, I believe another was from NYC, not sure of the others.

 

It's a group that puts these on all over as well. I think there was one in Chicago and one in Atlanta earlier this year.

My eyes could've deceived me as I only made a passing glance while driving by at 55mph and watching out for the traffic control guy in the median. But it looked like a lot more people than that. At a minimum, 15K.

Have never,ever heard of this event. Was it even advertised to draw as many people that were stated? Sounds like something you would see in a teen movie, where flyers and word of mouth draw the crowd.:lol2:
