The Scott High at Harrison County game scheduled for today has been cancelled. Harrison now finishes the regular season at home Tuesday against Newport Central, at Tates Creek on Wednesday at home against Mason County on Thursday and at home Friday against Scott County. Harrison County and Scott High could meet again in the 10th Region Tournament.

I wonder why HC had four games scheduled mon-thurs it is against KHSAA rules to play those four days in a row while school is in session.

No school on Tuesday - Election Day. Rule states that you cannot play 4 consecutive days that school is in session.

Did anyone check the field?It didn't look that wet when I went through Cynthiana to play at Bourbon on Monday.I think Mack just didn't want to play Scott.As a matter of fact the kids were playing baseball down at the park by the river that night.

I was wondering if anyone else noticed that. They canceld twice with Campbell County saying it was too wet, when everyone else played. The first of which was at the Camels, Harrison said it was supposed to rain so they didn't come up. It didn't rain until real late that night.

Sounds to me like it is raining now in Northern Kentucky and too wet to play! You guys are killing me. FYI - Campbell cancelled the first game at Campbell. Harrison does play at Tates Creek tonight weather permitting.

Well,as I said earlier I was in Cynthiana twice that night and it didn't rain up till dark.The fields out at the park by the river were being used.I guess there was a big storm on the hill and no where else in town.

I know Scott beat Harrison Co earlier in the year, also Scott's field was bone dry not being used but Harrison would not come up to get one in

So what is your point? With 4 games scheduled in the next 4 days nobody else would have either.

Well, with no school on tue they are allowed to schedule that many. I guess, why schedule them if you are not wanting to play? Really makes no sense to me. It does not look like they will be over their game limit. I just do not see the reason to cancel. From an outsider looking in it just looks fishy

Nothing fishy, it rained some Monday afternoon and the field was wet at that time and the forecast called for additional showers. As it turned out they could have played, but at the time necessary to make the call, it did not look as if they would be able to get the game in.

Yeah Monday was a tough day to make calls about games. We worked on our field for 2 hours before our game and it went through a bunch of periods of dark clouds and sunshine. We just went ahead and played anyway. Luckily it never did rain. These weather patterns lately have been crazy anyway. You can get an inch of rain in Edgewood and a tenth of an inch in independence. Its just been crazy.

Cambell did not cancell that game at Cambell County. The field was dry and ready. Harrison did not want to come up.
