Henry County's Billy Vaughn

Featured Replies

Henry County's Billy Vaughn will play college ball for Hanover as an OL. Hard work pays off for Vaughn and the rest of thre Wildcats!

Congratulations to this young man that you have listed in this thread and the 3 others from Henry County in the other threads. Henry County finished 6-5 last year. With a class like this, in their district/region, looks like they should have had a better season. However, I do not intend to undermine the accomplishments of these four young men whatsoever. Just a thought.

How many seniors did Henry have? I heard 16? What is the new coach going to do? I heard that he went to the Franklin spread school the winter?

You are taking away- they worked hard and got the most out their ability. Thier coaches pushed them to go to college and play, and they try to help them get there. Maybe other programs should do that instead of using them for four years and then throwing them away.

Oh bye the way- you guys tradionally have more talent than HC? I guess you guys did not the last two years right? It must explain why Henry Co lost to Russell( the 2a champs) 59-29 in the first round??

Like I said, I mean't no disrespect whatsoever. You have beaten Carroll County two straight years and I applaud these guys for their accomplishments. If I was knocking anyone it was the coaching staff for wasting what was obviously a great amount of talent, especially up front. In 4A or even 3A it is not unusual for several seniors to move on to play college ball but at a small school like HC or CC it is very rare to have more than 1 or 2 in any given year. Once again, congrats to these young men and good luck at the next level.

No problem super B- those kids worked hard- HC had 10 in the last 4 years- These kids can play if they work hard. Sometimes everyone thinks if you don't play D1 there is no other chance to play college football. If you have good grades and are willing to work it is possible to play somewhere!
