Whilee you're on here insulting a coach you don't know regarding a situation that will not affect you or your kids in the least, some of us care who is going to be coaching our kids. My agenda is that these kids get the coach they deserve. Now your patient in room 2 needs a filling so get back to work.

John Calipari couldn't recruit baseball players to Pikeville. I am sure the administration did what they thought was the best. Time will tell. For instance I thought Rich Brooks was a terrible hire for a football coach by Mitch Barnhardt at UK. Guess what, I was dead wrong. Would take him back today. Boyd passed because they have no opening? Maybe the incident that Walter had with a Boyd coach a few years ago was the determining factor.

Coach Lemaster was a very successful coach at UPike (Pikeville College then) for several seasons. This is a home-run hire for Ashland, hearing its a done deal. Will be nice to have him in the 16th!

So we agree....the best candidate should get the job. Not based on history with the program or years spent coaching within the system, but based on ability to inspire kids to perform beyond what is expected, based on a willingness to go above and beyond to help players improve (and not with paid private lessons either), based on a dedication to the program that can't be matched. We agree the best candidate should get the job. The best candidate by far is Dwight Walter.

Most of the time you never hear the full list of candidates as schools keep those quiet. Some of the people applying have a job already and the schools don't want to put their name in public so that they are protected some.

If that is the case and you are an Ashland fan, you should lend your full support to the new coach. If you choose to not support the new coach then your loyalties are otherwise. Any word on when they will announce?
