Bullitt East 2015/2016

Basketball season for 2015/2016 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Bullitt East. Remember, please be constructive.

After seeing them at the Collins tournament, I believe they'll win the 6th. Great guard play and a really good inside presence. Their biggest competition will most likely come from Fern Creek, who's in their own district.

Clear cut favorites based on returning players. As in every region the musical chairs game of transfers will be more clear when school starts. Unless some school in the 6th has a pair of Burger Boys stop by, then BE is the team to beat. I love Tyler Sharpe and he is a senior with a chance to finish his career at Rupp. He has a three other returning starters coming back and depth. They will be tough to beat and should be in the final regional championship at a minimum.

Clearly the favorite to win their region. Strong team that plays very hard. Sharpe is tough and plays 110% at all times/ Farris is a presence in the paint. If they don't end up making it to Rupp, it will be a surprise.

We all know you're banking on Butt & Fitzgerald coming aboard at Fern Creek. Lol

I have never bought into that rumor because I never heard anything about it except on this board. I did hear Ballard was a possible stop if they came to Louisville, but I always thought they would stay put.

My comment above was making the point that it would take (2) McDonald AA in any 6th region school to surpass BE as the pre-season favorite, not a reference to Fern Creek or the Southwestern brothers. If you thought I was banking on it you missed badly. With what Fern Creek returns they will be good, but still a season away. This is BE's year and would be surprised if anyone can stop that experience from winning the region.

Back to Bullitt East... Big man Jared Farris was offered by Asbury University this evening.

Congrats to him. Great player. Great kid. Really excelled with Bullitt East in June where he doesn't have to share the middle anymore.

Should be a really good year for the Chargers. Looks to be the favorite in the 6th, and possibly make a run in the Sweet 16...Positives:1) A Senior - laden squad, which has played together for several years. 2) Solid backcourt play, with leadership qualities, added with solid depth, with the added quality of players who can hit the jumper or take u off the dribble. 3) Good frontcourt with size and athletic ability, with good shooting range and low post moves. 4) Having one of the best snipers in the state ( Tyler Sharpe ) who can stretch and keep any defense honest is always a plus.... Concerns: 1) Frontcourt depth, besides Farris & Klefot, who is going to step up, they must find some solid contributors, maybe the addition of Konnor Polson may help? 2) Rebounding, team needs to improve overall from last year. 3) Continuity, coaches and players need to be more in sync with each other, this was a problem for much of last year....The overall outlook is quite high for this team!
