^ I have a very real respect for the Tomcats and since that I have been a member here at bgp, now have a few more friends in Tomcat land. I have to pull for my alma mater though.

The Rams have a outstanding football program, from pee wee on up! :jump: :jump:

Here's a Tomcat who has always followed, enjoyed, and respected the Ram football program - from peewee on up:thumb:

...and good natured ribbing with those in orange :D

Cheers, Woody Jr

oldram....You KNOW I pull for the Rams except when playing the Tomcats and neutral with another local team;) ....The Raceland-Worthington School System has made a HUGE investment in the kids at Raceland High School and I believe that we will all see the benefits from the facilities upgrades the District has made. I know that not all of these upgrades were football oriented BUT the overall appeal to kids about what is going on at Raceland HAS to be good.

Good luck to the Rams:thumb:

Thanks onetoya and woody:thumb: :thumb: . Although onetoya I can't agree at all with your one "neutral" team   If it is who I am thinking that you are talking about - that is grounds for dismissal from the school, team and residence in the city of Raceland or Worthington.

When I played at Lawrence Co it was always awsome games! The 1990 win for LC was the one that put football in Lawrence Co on the map back when the had Bostic and company. That was when the snowball at LC in the 90's started. My Jr year they beat us 35-34 I think it was or 45-44. We had the ball inside the 10 and got stopped before time expired. My Senior year that was our only loss in the regular season. We swept the District and lost 3-0 once again getting stopped in the endzone at the end of the game. Always a great rivalry and always great people. When we went to the final 4 Coach Ross wrote us a really classy letter. Racelands players and fans were out in full force at the Regional Championship. Some Mason Co fans stold one of our flags and Raceland's players went to the other side, took it back and ran around the field waiving it all the way up into our stands. I'll forever like them for that great moment!

There has always been a mutual respect between LCHS and Raceland in football. The two have had some REAL battles through the years. I believe that a big part of it is bc both teams / players have a pride in football about them and know what it takes to have a winning tradition. As you know we have one of your all time greats down here in G. Parker and his wife on the girls b.b. staff. I can only hope that we can keep them both, they have made a HUGE impact.

You know I can't pick a favorite in that game and its not Greenup County:D May the best team win at that point I'm talking about;)

The Rams have a great program and school district. I pull for Raceland (except when they play Ashland). I always enjoy reading your posts!

Go Rams,

Like I said earlier, the initial number were very high (especially for a class A School). I haven't talked to any of the coaches lately to see if they have had any decide not to play. Any school imo always has some that does not stay especially through the summer w/o's and camps. Thank you to all that have posted in respect to the Rams and I also respect your teams / fans.

A buddy of mine just called and had talked to Randy (Coach Vanderhoof). He had told him that the kids were all working extremely hard and were really ahead of what the coaching staff were expecting of them at this point. Coach "Hoof" said that he seemed to be getting a lot of senior leadership and the young kids were really coming along well. Rams have some very talented younger (Fr. and Spoh.) kids.
