Dolphins skip final minicamp practice to train with Navy SEALs

Featured Replies

Kickball was apparently a little much for the Dolphins, so they found something to toughen them up a bit before training camp.

According to Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post, the Dolphins skipped the final day of minicamp to go train with Navy SEALs.

Assistant receivers coach Phil McGeoghan revealed the decision on Twitter, and a number of players chimed in that the workout was tougher than anything they endure as football players.

Which is good, because jumping out of airplanes into dangerous situations to protect America is a more difficult and important job than playing ball.

There were no injuries reported thus far on the Dolphins behalf, which is good, after kicker Caleb Sturgis hurt himself during the team kickball game recently.

Injuries are never laughing matters but the last line did make me laugh out loud. The team went through a SEAL workout and everyone came out injury free but their kicker got hurt playing kickball recently.

How'd they do on the drown proofing training. They are all dolphins, afterall!

Maybe they were all well schooled when they were in high school.

Could have been worse, could have jammed his neck doing a head butt.
