I just wanted to see what level you all thought the LLWS teams would be in Southwest Ohio. My guess is American Gold. There are certainly some National League players (and possibly teams), but I don't think that it is a complete elite AABC type competition. For any of those who are wondering, the teams in the Little League World Series are made of all-star teams. Many of the players also play travel ball along side their Little League squads.

The LLWS teams are all star teams, but they are restricted to being from one area...many of the higher level SWOL teams draw from all over the entire greater Cincy region. The better SWOL teams would likely be a little deeper. It's really hard to tell though, and without the teams playing each other you'll never know. The only direct experience I have, is my sons SWOL team, which played in the American League Gold of SWOL (while playing many National League teams in Tourneys), met up with the team from Hamilton that went to the LLWS in a 14U game. We run ruled them.

I would say American Gold. I know the Cincy Flames played the Hamilton Little League All Stars last year and beat them 20 something to 1.. Totally different game when you don't know how to steal or lead off or how to defend it..

I'd say it's equivalent to American Silver. Had a nephew play for The Force who at the time played in the American Silver league and they also beat Hamilton All Stars 14-3.

What is SWOL? I am assuming Southwest Ohio League, but you never assume. Is it part of Knothole or independent?

SWOL is the largest select league in the country. Independent, but is associated with a bunch of national organizations such as USSSA, AABC, CABA etc..
