Walton-Verona's Jennifer Brauer was named MVP as she got the scoring started with a 2-run double in the 3rd, other hitting leaders for the winners include Highlands Shelby Graybill with a "laser-beam" double that hit high off the right-center fence (I think there is a permanent dent in the fence:eek:), Walton-Verona's Olivia Dezarn with an RBI single, & Bellevue's Kira Ross with an RBI single. In the field McGrath made quite a few nice plays at 1st, later came in and pitched 2 scoreless innings, and at the plate got the scoring started in the 2nd with an RBI double and later with an RBI ground-out. It was great to mingle for a few minutes with the Special Olympics athletes in attendance. They are a great group! greenandpurple Posted June 11, 2015 Share Posted June 11, 2015 Proud of my DD last night, 1st time up to bat she hit a laser double that smoked the 3rd base line! 2nd time she came up to bat she was hit by a pitch, imagine that lol. She came in and pitched the 6th and 7th inning and gave up 1 hit and 0 runs, atta girl! I always enjoy watching this game, it's a lot of fun.
