Got word this morning about the departure of Coach Johnny Leep from Trimble County. He met with the team this morning and told them the news. Plans to continue to teach at Trimble for now.

 

All the best to Johnny. Always been great with us. He will be missed.

This is some heart breaking news to hear about our basketball team, Coach Leep really was trying to build a basketball program with all the shoot arounds and sumer practices. His biggest thing was incorporating youth legue and middle school into his style of play.

Any chance he is making the move back to Carroll County?

From what I saw from Mark Campbell this morning, he is going for a teaching certification. He did tell me yesterday that he may re-surface down the road, but taking care of business now.

He has taken a job at Rowan County High School. He will be an assistant coach on their staff.

Best wishes to Coach Leep. I enjoyed working with him along the way.
