September 18, 201510 yr Sam Lecure took that game over when Cueto got hurt, Latos won game 2. Winker just got ranked #1 OF prospect, I heard this don't know if it is true He came in for one inning while Latos was warming up and I believe Latos pitched on short rest that day. Arroyo won game 2.

September 18, 201510 yr I don't remember him ever being great, he lost the big Giants game as well didn't he? Latos was solid for the Reds. He only pitched 3 seasons (all of 2012, all of 2013 & half of 2014) but he was arguably a #1 or #2 while in Cincinnati. 2012: 14-4, 200+ innings, 3.48 ERA 2013: 14-7, 200+ innings, 3.16 ERA 2014: 5-5, 102 innings, 3.25 ERA 2013: Pre-All Star Break: 8-3 with 3.53 ERA Post-All Star Break: 6-4 with 2.68 ERA 2012: Pre-ASB: 7-2 with 2 CG's & 4.13 ERA Post ASB: 7-2 with 2.84 ERA

September 18, 201510 yr Not sure that that those young guys are ready for primetime. It would stink if you had great seasons from the bats next year and the pitching ERA was 6 and you wasted what might be your last chance for the next 5 years.
September 18, 201510 yr ^ Latos wouldn't solve that problem. But regardless, there's no chance they can compete next season, unless it's for the #1 pick in the draft.
