In a game that was moved to Bartlett Field because a sprinkler kept going off in left-field on our home field and turned it into a swamp (had to cancel Wednesday's game with Walton-Verona because of it), the Breds sophomore, Haley Meyers, throws her 3rd No-Hitter of the season (8th of her career) as the Breds down Lloyd 11-0 in 5 innings.

 

Meyers was a 3rd inning lead-off walk away from perfection in striking out 11 batters. She struck-out the 1st 6 batters, gave up the walk, induced to ground-outs, K'ed 5 in a row, and two more ground-outs to closeout the game.....the last a come-backer to the circle. She helped her own cause going 2/2, a 2-run single, a gap-shot triple (her 6th of the season), & and a Sac-Fly.

 

Sr. Morgan Martini also drove in three runs, 2 coming in on her two hop "rocket" to the 250 sign in center, she was gunned down on a close play at 3rd. Had we been playing on our home field she would have cleared the fence by 30 feet.....EASILY!!!
