April 14, 201511 yr Swimmers and Rugby in the 70's. First party I attended was a swimmers party during my high school visit. Rugby was only a once-per-year party when I was there with the Banshee. There may have been other rugby parties going on then, but I wasn't invited. Went to lots of swimmer parties.
April 14, 201511 yr I think they could have cleaned house without shutting the entire program down for 5 years.
April 15, 201511 yr If this is still going on in todays college athletics with all the liability issues, then I have to question the leadership from the top. How does the Athletic director or coaching staff not know whats going on with their athletes on campus? How are they passing drug tests? Obviously with the problem of marijuana in todays society, athletes across the board are getting a free pass with their system.
April 17, 201511 yr Swimmers always had the wildest parties when I was at WKU. Some things haven't changed, it seems. Beat me to it Jim. Between the parties down on College Street thrown by the swimmer, and the Banshee Party that the Rugby Team threw out at the old amusement park (can't think of the name), it is a wonder this hasn't happened sooner (or with even more dire results). The shame is, in the late 80's, WKU's swimming team was really, really good.

April 17, 201511 yr I understand that party's go on. However, the issue of hazing and the legal problems it brings shouldnt be going on. With the way kids post their stupidity on social media, WKU had to just be over looking this.
April 18, 201511 yr WKU had to just be over looking this. Every sport has a Sports' Administrator, that isn't likely and certainly can't be an excuse.
