The previous coach, Tom Luebbe, was asked to resign. No explaination given, just that they wanted to move in a new direction. He had a good record this season, 18-9, with good players coming back nextyear, and had a lot of success in his 7 years at WVHS. I know his teams won something like 70% of their games under his lead. The parents and players were not happy at all with him being let go, they even tried to meet with the administration to stop it, but were not allowed. Had to be something political, and at Walton, that would not suprise me at all.

I will make an assumption on what your post means. If I am correct, about 98% of the coaches in the state of KY suffer from this.

98% May be a high estimate, but not by much.

Unfortunately some start taking themselves way too serious and think they are irreplacable. Well you only need to look at the 2 mentioned in this thread to see that isn't true.

No Matter what the reason for his dismissal, he will be very difficult to replace. They have had a lot of success, and the kids had really bought into what was going on in that program. The big question now is will all of the players be back for next season or will some of them go elsewhere and who are they going to hire.

:confused: If the kids live in the Walton School why would they then go somewhere else. Nevermind, I already know the answer and this is what has become so wrong with High School athletics IMO.
