I just saw this on KHSAA that this was the score any thoughts on this game.

Pikeville seems to be struggling a bit.

This game was crazy!

 

VanHoose started for the Tigers, Carter for the Panthers...After 5 innings of play, the score was 7-0 Panthers. VanHoose was out of the game, and Carter had given up one hit, and no runs. Carter got runners on base in the 6th, giving up two runs, and was taken out of the game. Boyd came on in relief and gave up three. Then Anderson gave up the lead for a 9-7 deficit. They lost 10-7. Crazy game!

I don't know there record, but I thought I had seen where they had lost a couple in a row. That generally indicates they are struggling in some aspect of the game. It was more of a question than a statement as I did not see any of these games.

Actually, after starting 12-2, they've lost 2 out of 3. Doesn't necessarily mean anything, but does tend for the outsider to wonder if they are struggling. Pikeville has a very good team and I'm sure they'll bounce back. I may go watch them play tonight.

Pikeville is not struggling! They did start Carter against Paintsville and he was dominating them. All of a sudden the pitchers couldnt find the zone and crazy things happen in baseball. Anderson struggled and he is the same pitcher who was undefeated and manhandled Fairview on Saturday. LC game was one in which Pikeville was trying new pitching prospects knowing Fairview was coming and wanting to have Huff and Jut both available then. Dont make much out of these games. Noone has been able to beat Jut or Huff in the region in a LONG, LONG time.
