And you started this garbage by crying about refs from last game. Its a prediction thread about today's game. SK got out played last game, will it happen tonight? Don't know, but I hope so. I expect another tough and physical game. I hope your searching for bulletin board material to fire up SK, because believe me some of the things that were said in the hand shake line to our girls after last game has the Lady Camels ready to go.

Since you have been out of aau bball for several years and SK has only 2 seniors and 1 junior on the team, who specifically would you like to take credit for developing?

 

Didn't realize I was taking credit for developing anyone. Someone asked how I knew so much. I said I know, have coached, have trained or have seen all of your players many times. Some all the way down to your middle school kids! So you can ask around and do your own leg work.

So one guy says they are known to hand check, one guy says they don't this year, is it worthy of 5 pages? Anyone who states that a team is hand checking or is physical isn't degrading no one.

My daughter played against Henderson Co 2 times over her career, they was the most atrocious, hand checking physical team next to Sara Hammond's Rockcastle team we ever seen. We won 1 lost 2, after the games, we felt we was better by playing that style. It's not a knock on those kids, thats just what they do, and when you play Henderson, you know it's coming. Jeff Haile has done a great job down there, and he or his fans don't get bent when someone talks about their style.

I believe we have some tape of one of yours committing a suspendable offense. Shall we make it available to KHSAA just in time for the post season?????

I am not a coach, teacher, administration or staff at any school. Not even a janitor, bus driver or employee of a board of education. Many people on here know who I am. I own a business, and am a

bi-vocational pastor. The video I am referring to is NOT any school or team video. As a hobby, I make highlight videos, documentaries, senior videos, college recruiting videos, promo videos...etc. (If you want to see a sample, let me know, there are some on you tube) Because I was getting footage for a video project, I filmed a majority of the first SK vs Walton Verona game at Walton. This is why when Coach Clink got tossed in that game from his technical, I had my film of it from a unique and different angle where I usually film along the baseline and sideline. I just happen to be filming that game, and because of that I just happened to catch about everything that went on, including the technical, one "extra physical" incident and sorry, the random SK defenders hands on players hips and backs. (just like any other team will do randomly)

 

Now to where we are now. Once again, you have gone just a little overboard! What I posted was not a threat as you have seem to respond back with. No, I would never post anything from my video with intent to "tear down", "strike back", cause harm to any person, MUCH LESS high school students. No, I have zero intention of threatening anyone or any school with anything. In fact, I would never go outside of the authority of Walton's coaching staff and do anything with any video I had, other than use it to make the senior video, and season documentary videos that I was asked to do. My only intention was to "back up" my comments that your SK team is not the perfect, non fouling little angels, that you said they were, by telling you that my video shows otherwise. Yes, it shows MORE than hand checks that you said they did not do. In other words, if I posted it, it would prove you wrong several times over. And for your benefit in this threads argument, you would not want it public on here for all of us to see just how silly your comment was.

 

I know that you are using the word "we" in your post, and others on here have posted that you are a coach, but honestly, I do not believe that. A coach, coaches with class like SK has, would never ever post a threat of this sort on a public forum. Athletic directors would discuss it privately, just like they did last year about the incident you are referring to.

OK.... back to topic. When you say 'program'. I've got to assume this entire thread is about the Varsity Girls teams. If that is the case, then aren't we talking about that particular team. Call it program, regional team or whatever, we are talking specifically about the girls varsity team. When referencing the girls varsity team. That is comprised of the kids. Therefore that is who this is about. Follow?

 

I believe you reference how SK 'hand checks a lot on defense' something to that effect. You teach that? I sure don't because a good crew will eat my team up. I also don't view those comments as positive as I take that in a negative view as I believe that is how you presented it. I also don't have a problem with physical play as long as its not dirty with bad intentions.

 

The rest of my comments is not worth my time going back thru multiple threads etc... This year you have had a lot to say about this group and how they play and even where they compare to the rest in NKY etc... My whole point is you haven't even seen them play. Have you even seen them on tape? Throw me a bone here so I can find some credibility with your comments. That's all I'm saying.

 

If you haven't seen them then say what most say on here. I'm not sure I can answer that as I haven't seen either team.

 

Your Highlands team is a very solid team and you should be proud. I'm just not a believer in cutting others (not saying you are here) down so I look bigger. There can be 5+ top teams in NKY and I think that's awesome.

 

I'm not cutting others, girls or teams. I said they play physical and they do put their hands on you. It's part of what they do. It has nothing to do with any player. It's the rep that program has gotten over the years and I don't think it's bad! You act like I'm beating them up over it! Heck, I wish they would send some of it over to HHS at times! And apparently, I'm not the only one that thinks that! You have representation from multiple schools in this one thread alone! And I have said, its not a bad thing! I'm not cutting up anyone. NCC does it. ND does it. I have no issue at all with it. All I said is, when you play that way, sometimes it gives you an advantage and sometimes you get called for it. When you get called for it, you can't complain about the ref...which is what started this whole thing! Again, show me where I tear anyone down. It's part of the game and I could care less how each team plays. Just don't blame refs if a game appears one-sided when the "PROGRAM" is known for playing physical. (and not just by me, by MANY!). You are too sensitive and looking for something where there is nothing. Heck, HHS is too soft in my opinion at times and I'll tell it right to their coaches. Should those parents and coaches get offended. No they don't. They know. I always am quick to point out any "Opportunities" HHS right on here. I tell it like it is. Sorry it bothers you. I did nothing to put down anyone or any team. When you find it, just copy and past it in the thread. You don't even have to get all fancy and use the BGP tools. Just copy and paste!

 

As far as teaching it in AAU, heck ya. I know you've seen plenty of AAU games. If you don't teach it in AAU, you can get destroyed in games where they let you play. Because the other team is going to do it and with most AAU refs, it becomes a free-for-all out there many times and if you don't know how to play physical, you are at a severe disadvantage. But guess what, they are also taught good defense. As someone said, you adapt to the way the game is being called. I can sure tell you I'm not sending my team into a gun battle with a pocket knife. So yes, I teach it and love to see it played (and yes, that includes SK). And when you get one of your good crews that call it, you back off. Pretty simple.

I will go on a limb and pick SK in this one, only because they are at home, but for some strange reason I am starting to really want Campbell to win again. :lol2:

It funny how people over look the times I congratulated SK or picked them to win. Heck, I think I picked them to beat the Camels the last time they played. I was wrong. Now I think the Camels may win this one. I could very well be wrong again!

 

I don't say much at all about the kids or the program. Its a certain group of fans that blame everything else but the way the team played or refuse to give credit to the team that beat you. That seems to be the MO of about 5 SK fans on this board, regardless of sport. It's never SK's fault and poor SK. I'm not including you in that and there are plenty of very good SK fans and fans on this board. But the 4-5 make it hard to root for SK. I know you know what I'm talking about.

 

I've been told I have an agenda with SK sports. Really?? I just picked out of a hat and decided I was going to hate on SK. A team that isn't in our region and has no impact on the success of any team I follow. I just picked them.

 

I have no agenda with SK.

I have no agenda with ANY SK coach.

I have no agenda with ANY SK program.

And I have no agenda with 98% of their fans.

 

My comments are never to attack any of the above. Period. Since some want to label me with an "agenda", you tell me where my agenda is. It's the 2% of the overly whiny and "excuse for everything" fans.

 

I have plenty of SK fans and families that I am good friends with. I mean several. We actually talk about how awesome SK sports are becoming. But when I get on here and see excuse after excuse and never giving credit to an opponent and always blaming something else, it's very hard not to say something. Then others get their feelings hurt and perceive it as an attack at the team or kids and it couldn't be further from the truth. Things get severely twisted and turned around.

You wanted to make a point about hand checking without offering evidence. I called you on it, but you declined. Stop taking up with RC by taking shots at our program and you will be fine. The coaching staff is limited in what they cay say, but I am not. You, like RC, need to know when to stay on the sidelines.

 

Again, post recent video of SK hand checking, or APOLOGIZE and withdraw your statement! I really tire of the mudslinging!

You act like people are saying SK cheats or something sinister. Every team hand checks once in a blue moon and yours is no exception. I'm glad to hear it's something they are disciplined to avoid and wish them nothing but the best in their region.
