Mutsch went for Brossart, throwing 73 pitches to 21 batters, allowing one run on two first inning hits. He issued one walk in the sixth inning and struck out seven.

Brossart had three singles and two doubles including a walk, but they were spread out with one each coming in each of the second through seventh innings.

It was really a hard luck loss for the Mustangs. I don't know who pitched for the Eagles but he did a nice job and has his second baseman, who was spledid defensively to thank for the win.

I believe it was Arron Bush for the Eagles who got the complete game shutout. Both teams looked very solid defensively. It's the first time I've seen these two teams play this season and I came away impressed.

Yes Arrin Bush is a jr and that is his second shut out in a row (first coming against Pendleton Co.) He had good desfense behind him which any pitcher would love. they still have a long season ahead as well as Brossart. Maybe we will see these teams play in the District Tourney!!

After seeing some of these early scores this season, its good to see a pitcher's duel, accompanied by outstanding defense. Congrats to the Eagles for pulling out a close one!!

He allowed 1 run in the Pendleton game. Just a correction but still he is pitching great early in the season for the eagles.
