Tough End of the Year Schedules

Featured Replies

A few teams really scheduled some tough games to end the year. I suppose this is to prepare for tourney time.

I'm sure I missed others, but these really stick out as tough games.

Fixed it for you. :D

Lafayette:

Lexington Christian

Perry County Central

@ Bryan Station

Trinity

Henry Clay

Boyle County

All of the games listed above are in a 15 day stretch. This caps off a tough schedule, with two games against district foes Lexington Catholic, LCA, Dunbar, and Tates Creek, the Toyota Classic, two games against both Bryan Station and Henry Clay, two games against Scott County, and one versus Madison Central and Manual. Fitting end to their year.

Five games in a 9 day stretch with no cupcakes.

Two of the last four are top 10 teams, and Eastern is a rivalry game. Nice end to an always tough schedule.

Wayne County:

@ West Jessamine

Boyle County

@ Lexington Catholic

West Jessamine is a bit underrated and has just taken some lumps in a tough 12th, but they've also beaten some fairly good teams, including: Clay County, George Rogers Clark, Madison Central, Mercer County. Not really teams that people might think of as world-beaters, but solid nonetheless.

Lincoln County:

Taylor County

Mercer County

@ Danville

Knott County Central

Lexington Catholic

@ Casey County

All of those games are in an 11 day stretch.

Boone County:

Holmes

Campbell County

@ Dixie Heights

Not really any bad teams from that group when they are on. Yes, there are better, but I think it's fair to add this one in terms of challenging yourself and getting ready for the postseason.

Clay County:

Wayne County

Cordia

@ Knox Central (a regional favorite, now healthy)

@ Lexington Catholic

Not a bad 12 day stretch for a mountain team likely needing to stay relatively close to home for most of their games this late in the season.

Madisonville North Hopkins:

@ Webster County

Calloway Co (@ Murray)

Apollo

Evansville Central, Indiana (4A Indiana School... 12-4 on season)

11 day stretch with 2 more games, cupcakes against Fort Campbell and Ohio County (who was supposed to be much better this year), squeezed in as well. You have to give them credit for how this schedule looked when they made it if nothing else (i.e., Ohio County's two best players were still there, Apollo wasn't thought to be as disappointing as they were early).

Okay....I see that Boyle County last week of the season now. :lol2:
