That we agree on!

State champ.... Had to I couldn't resist

The word placement wasn't an accident champ!

Let's go ahead and get this out of the way...How does Ashland continue to be in the top 4???

Feel free to just copy and paste the answer.

Not sure how they are calculating their rankings. Ashland is not even ranked in the Litkenhous Rankings nor are they ranked in the Cantrall Ratings (as of last week). Not that I don't like the Bluegrasspreps.com Rankings, but the other 2 ranking systems hold more weight throughout the state. When they speak in terms of who is ranked where in the state, the media goes off of the Litkenhous Rankings.

Media goes of the AP poll because that's the one they vote in.

Thanks for the correction. Do you know where I can find that Poll?

In your local paper or look up louisville courier journal on line.

Where would you rank Ashland?

Where would you rank Ashland?

Well, if I were to look at the rankings right now and taking Ashland's schedule into account (not taking any out of state games into consideration) I would probably place them right below East Carter and right above Mercy. Assuming that those two teams are where they need to be.....which is probably another conversation in itself. They avenged losses to both of those teams so I think that all 3 probably need to stay around the same pack around the middle of the list. East Carter a good win over Holy Cross, and Ashland a good win over Butler.

@ Archie Bunker - Just an FYI, Jason Frakes voted for Ashland at #7 for the upcoming AP Poll.

Have no dawg in this fight, but with a 6 and 1 record against top 20 and a win head to head to me Holy Cross should clearly be ranked above Holmes. I dont think it is even close. That being said it doesnt mean that HC is clearly better. I would say a team ranked 3rd and 4th for example should be fairly even. Realistically there are four teams that could win the region this year. Gonna be fun. Also, I like the fact that HC has been through the All A, I think it gives them a leg up come tourney time. Who ever wins the region this year could go a long long way, until they meet Etown, no one in KY is beating them. Good luck 9th region!

We all know the (3) teams but who in your opinion is the 4th ("Realistically there are four teams that could win the region this year.")???

I threw Ryle in the mix as well. IMO they have all the pieces, just have to peak at tourney time and maybe rotations will have some sort of consistancy come tourney time.
